FLEXWEAR uses a process called “infiltration brazing” to create a metallurgical bond between the substrate and the coating. FLEXWEAR is comprised of fine tungsten carbide particles suspended in a nickel matrix transported to the substrate by rolling the powders into a cloth like material that can be adhered to complex geometries. Typical hardness for JADCLAD FLEXWEAR is 70 HRC and the strongest bond >70,000psi. The hardness is an average of the tungsten carbide particles and the matrix they are suspended in.

This lightweight wear protection has a higher temperature resistance than 304 stainless steel.

Standard thickness range .030” - .060”
