Forming Bulldozer Blade Liners So They Fit

This is before photo of a dozer blade showing patches and cracks where the steel has worn through. The rusty cracks are due to a press brake operator trying to form it quickly so it becomes a series of flat sections, rather than a smooth curve.

Here is the same dozer blade with a JADCO QT Plus ® liner installed after all the patches were removed.

Notice the plug welds in the center of the liner. Plug welds are always welded before the outside edges. Best practice is to install the plug welds a maximum of 18” apart between the edges or between plug welds.

Observe the smooth, even curve of the liner produced by our forming equipment and operators.
