1. PRODUCTION WORKERS - ALL SHIFTS

Minimal qualifications include the knowledge and ability to safely use equipment and tools; perform basic measurements; regularly perform physical labor; and understand, follow and communicate written and oral instructions. High school degree or equivalent is also required. Prior manufacturing or industrial experience is helpful. Machine operation experience in a production environment is preferred.

2. BURN TABLE OPERATOR

We have an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background in the heavy industrial or metal manufacturing with a strong knowledge of quality and will enjoy working in a shop that appreciates a sense of humor. Must be organized, motivated, detail-oriented and driven. This is the perfect opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate overhead crane to load, unload and position material using lifting magnets, chains and/or straps.

• Operate computer panel of CNC machine to set machine and obtain product specifications. Must be able to utilize existing programs as well as create new programs for unique jobs.

• Study blueprints, layouts, sketches, and/or travelers to assess product specifications and to determine tooling instructions, tools and materials needed, and sequences of operations.

• Select and install cutting tools and other accessories according to specifications, using hand tools and/or power tools.

• Select cutting speeds, feed rates, and depths of cuts, applying knowledge of metal properties and shop mathematics.

• Compute dimensions, tolerances, and angles of steel products or machines, according to specifications and knowledge of metal properties and shop mathematics.

• Observe milling machine operation and adjust controls to ensure conformance with specified tolerances.

• Verify alignment of product on machines, using measuring instruments such as rules, gauges, or calipers.

• Move controls to set cutting specifications, to position cutting tools and products in relation to each other, and to start machines.

• Replace worn tools, using hand tools, and sharpen dull tools, using bench grinders.

• Remove products from machines, and check to ensure that they conform to specifications, using measuring instruments such as microscopes, gauges, calipers, and micrometers.

• Move cutters or material manually or by turning hand wheels, or engage automatic feeding mechanisms to mill steel pieces to specifications.

• Make templates or cutting tools as needed.

• Mount attachments and tools such as pantographs, engravers, or routers to perform other operations such as drilling or boring.

• Work with Drafting and Quality in pursuit of continuous improvement to cycle times, quality of product or increasing efficiency of processes.

• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to Supervisor.

• Complete job requirements with minimal supervision.

• Accurately document applicable job, product and quality information utilizing computer and paper documents as required.

• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

• Perform preventative maintenance on machines as required/requested.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of a high school diploma.

• 2 years of experience operating a CNC machine, preferably in a steel service center.

• Must be able to perform, but not limited to the following tasks: draw, perform basic math functions, and inspect.

• Ability to program and operate the burning machine.

3. CNC Burn Programmer

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise Burn Table Operators

• Utilize ProNest software for nesting, beveling, and common line cutting.

• Document and manage bevel settings.

• Generate CNC programs from .dxf files

• Maintain and structure CNC burn files.

• Maintain scheduling of jobs with common materials.

• Manage CNC burn scheduling.

• Operate CNC burn machines as needed.

• Create bevel samples utilizing AutoCAD to maximize machine capabilities for process control.

• Initiate and drive role to maximize efficiency capabilities.

• Drafting experience preferred.
