JADCO is seeking a motivated, organized, experienced, honest and dependable Auto-Cad drafter for a temporary to possible permanent position. Ability to create new drawings and manipulate existing drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD programs. Skilled in interpretation of customer specifications and fabrication shop drawings. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to maintain customer confidentiality. Self-motivated and dedicated individual with meticulous attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities:

· Create detailed fabrication drawings and erection drawings in Solidworks or AutoCAD in accordance with company standards.

· Complete design specifications by consulting vendors.

· Complete projects from conception to final completion with minimal supervision.

· Develop, prepare, and maintain complete Bills of Materials for each product being manufactured, including job specific Bills of Materials for custom products.

· Utilize structural concepts and practices, drafting standards, symbols, and engineering terms.

· Suggest changes in design, materials, method of manufacture and assembly, and drafting techniques to improve product quality, cost, and performance.

· Work with other departments within company to ensure drawings convey the correct information and for problem resolution and continuous improvement.

· Focus on quality and speed every day, doing all things with a sense of urgency towards excellence.

Job Qualifications & Requirements:

· Associate’s degree in Computer Aided Drafting or related field is required.

· Must have 1-3 years of experience in CAD design, preferably in a steel service center.

· Solid understanding of drafting techniques.

· Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.

· Familiarity with reverse engineering and the associated measuring tools preferred.

· Experience with 3D scanning technology is a plus.

· Experience with Geomagic Design X software is a plus.

· Communications Proficiency (both verbal and written).

· Ability to prioritize and multitask assigned projects.

· Sense of humor required.

Job Description:

· Introduce new and existing corporate products or services to established and potential clients.

· Communicate with customers daily to request orders and provide quotations and lead times.

· Work collaboratively with the Outside Sales Team, Operations Manager, Drafting Department, and outside vendors/service providers to prioritize, coordinate, schedule and project manage customer needs and requirements.

· Collect and analyze data to estimate the cost, size, materials, nature and duration of a potential project by interpreting prints, specifications and customer requirements.

· Generate basic models/sketches utilizing CAD software for quoting purposes.

· Emphasize service or product features and benefits, discussing credit terms, quoting prices and preparing sales order forms.

· Coordinate with all related departments for order status, ensuring the delivery commitments are met.

· Process acknowledgements, cancellations or changes in sales orders and communicating the changes to the related departments.

· Capture accurate and complete information in ERP system and CRM for customer relationship management.

· Monitor quality standards and specification requirements and communicate any discrepancies or issues related to jobs that impact quality, scheduling and/or delivery.

· Communicate customer feedback and suggestions for enhancing efficiency, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

· Maintain and expand the database of customers and prospects of the organization.

Job Requirements:

· Trained in inside sales and/or estimating.

· Ability to read blueprints efficiently.

· Associate’s Degree in Metallurgy, Drafting, or related engineering discipline is a valued plus.

· Able to work in a fast paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment.

· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to read, evaluate, and interpret prints, drawings, and specifications.

· Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills.

· Highly proficient level computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, CRM and ERP systems.

· Prior involvement in fabrication and steel service center required.

· Background in utilizing Solidworks/AutoCAD or similar drawing environments to generate models/details.

· Knowledge of basic measurement tools. 


The Quality & Safety Coordinator supports efforts of the Quality & Safety Manager with assignments and tasks geared toward OSHA and ISO 9001:2015 compliance. The responsibilities include but are not limited to performing training, accident investigations, safety and quality data analysis, trend charting, monitoring and measurement device calibrations, policy and procedure updates, internal auditing, corrective action implementation and follow up, and use of an ERP system for various functions as well as all related recordkeeping/documentation requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct monthly Safety Committee Meetings

• Conduct monthly Internal Safety Audits

• Monitor and implement updates in safety regulations, laws, or reporting requirements.

• Manage OSHA recordkeeping, reporting, and employee training requirements.

• Provide on-site review and safety training.

• Intervene in at-risk activities.

• Enforce safety policies and practices, ensuring proper handling and analysis of safety incidents and accidents.

• Recommend policies and procedures to reduce safety risks and occupational health issues.

• Conduct accident, incident, and near miss investigations and reporting

• Assist with environmental test functions and applications.

• Ensure Leaders’ daily shift safety huddle meetings are effective and educational.

• Assist with organization of internal ISO audits and external audits to monitor corrective and preventative measures.

• Maintain active role in internal Continuous Improvement efforts.

• Assist with the design, development and implementation of quality control and safety training programs and policies, including performing training as requested.

• Facilitate/implement non-conformance and corrective action activities/records.

• Prepare and manage information distribution via video monitors, emails and bulletin board postings.

• Maintain calibration activities and associated recordkeeping.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health or related field

• 2 years’ safety experience in industrial environment.

• Prior experience in training

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• OSHA 10 and 30 hour training completion required.

• Knowledge of federal and state safety regulations.
